Venezuelans Are One of the reasons for the Increase crime in Trinidad & Tobago. Lately on the news and social media, you are seeing a rise in crimes being committed by Venezuelans with police raids finding a wide range of drugs and ammo on them. Our boarders are not being protected due to Coast Guards taking bribe and not doing their jobs properly. Due to this immigrants are entering our country illegally and not leaving because our Immigration department has failed in doing proper checks or deporting them when they have over stayed. You are seeing them everywhere you do now, walking down the road freely, in bars and in shopping places buying more expensive things than most could afford. If you go to the Ministry of Legal Affairs right now, its only Venezuelans in line to get married to Trinidadians just for the money. In the US and most countries there are checks in place that you have to abide by before getting married. Here in Trinidad anyone can get married now if any nationality and no one bats an eye. Places such as Copa Cobana, Venezuelans are prostituting themselves and the entire country knows but the authorities are doing nothing about it. I am totally fedup and disgusted by the way our country is handling this.
