As you all may know cars play an important role in our everyday life and be place alot of trust in them to protect our lives also. Here are some simple tip to help us ensure that before we go on our journey that were least likely to encounter problems.
We will separate them out into two sections:
    Short Trips:
*** A major tip- Check Your Surroundings all the time even before you decide to go by your vehicle***
    1) You should check under your vehicle for any leaks such as oils, coolant etc. The reason for this is when fluids are leaking depending on which one it can cause failure of brakes, steering or radiator.

    2) Always check tires for proper inflation and other signs of excessive wear or damage as in a worst case scenario it could blow out on you.

    3) Check your lights indicators, brakes etc.

    4) Check your back seat to make sure no one is hiding there lol.

    5) Check your windows, mirrors and wipers, visibility is important.

    6) Check gauges are working properly on the dash board.

    7) Check car air condition system is working properly.

    Long Trips:

    1) Check car fluids (transmission, power steering, brakes, engine)

    2) Test Battery

    3) Check windshield wipers and sprayer are working.

    4) Check air filter as it can affect fuel efficiency and engine performance.

    5) Check spare tire make sure it is inflated and that jack is present and working.

Ensure proper functioning of all lights weekly/monthly.

    Check oil level weekly

Ensure properly adjusted seating and mirror positions prior to operation of motor vehicle.

I also take a quick look at my bushings every couple weeks or so. It's not necessary but mine are easy to see so I might as well.

I also check my bumpers for any missing clips and I always have a few at home just in case some are missing.

You better check for missing bumpers too, had a friend almost lose his bumper in his drive way. He thought the clips were broken but they weren't lol.

Lmao doh worry, they didn't get it out. Nissan smart, at least two of the bolts was installed from the top side so while the thief take out the mud guard clips and undo the bolts just inside the liners, he still couldn't thief it lmao.

To make joke, somebody gone away with some of the chrome moulding from my next padna door. The one that sticks to the edge to protect it if the edge hits something. Somebody peel it out and gone with it. So be sure to check for these things cause you never know these days.

Please make sure your foot/floor brakes are up and you don't forget about it . Some RORO cars don't have alarms on the dash to remind you to put them up.

Make sure your surroundings are also safe before driving always and that there are no dangers in the way.

Also check to see if your car stereo is on the correct station or mode :D

Be Sure that your headlights are working . Especially if you took out the oiginal bulbs and had them replaced or the entire thing.

Oh and especially if you drive an VW , the indicator arms tend to blow fast so check those too .

An indicator arm will more or less go bad during operation rather than before the start of driving, which is unfortunate.

Original bulbs themselves are junk, they should be replaced every few years because they are what are known as "long life" and after a couple of years, they get very dim. Any halogen driivng light bulb should be changed out every couple of years regardless, it tends to lose lumens pretty quickly vs proper quality LED and AC HID.

I agree with checking housings after being replaced. A lot of aftermarket lamps come fitted with LEDs and angel eyes for park lights or whatever and sometimes if not properly wired into the circuit, these wires can corrode/short from being under insulated or poorly wired to start with.

If only ah man radio could reach ah 100, instant deafness LOL

Its not by me nah, its down San Juan side that happen lol.

A good point to add is if parked in a car park or something, do a quick walk around just to ensure nothing missing.
