I'm not too sure about cloud computing. Since Google is pioneering this effort, i'm not sure i'll trust Google or any other company with my personal data. I mean all the user's information is stored online at Google or some other server farm. And i don't just mean financial data. Every type of data you can think of. Google is notorious for keeping tabs on users who use their products. their reason is that it helps build a more personal web experience for the user. Yeah right? Its all about sending you advertisments. Money making scheme. I would never trust my business solely online. hard drives are portable these days via portable external drives and laptops. Even flash drives. I would not totally embrace cloud computing. Although there are advantages like what Raucous stated. Accessin my data where ever i have internet access.. But still I'm very skeptical about the whole ordeal. Ask yourselves this. Just how safe is your data online?
Those darn aliens and their moon rock trade!!!
