How can I take screenshot of video?

Yeah sometime i get blank screens when taking screen shots, it so annoying, this could be good for when you want to make a GIF animation from a movie or something.

No need for third party apps.. while playing the movie in full screen, just press the "print Screen" button on ur keyboard. the open an image editor like "paint" and click paste. viola!!! there's you capture. just save it as any other file..

You can easily take snapshots using VLC player. I has a in-built function.
