T&T Barracks

Hey long time no post but i recently heard something from a friend who i am working with and i think it is a serious topic for all members to hear on the forum. Last year her cousin entered the TT Police Barracks In St. James and well you know there is six months of confinement where you have to stay to learn everything, plus discipline and change people's mentality. I heard alot of nasty things about inside there and i thought to myself this is why some police men are how they are today.

In the barracks lets just say that if a trainee does not get a routine right or is soft or messed up on something and is really trying hard they verbally abused them inside there. i understand how they have to get the officers though inside there but i heard one saying it is a hell hole where the officers in there treat you like shit and don't care . they tell you about your family and cuss you up.

Another thing there is that the mentality inside there that they are training men's mind to be is players because the officers telling the class to use women for sexual acts and leave them after and according to a statement i heard one officer said to use women for their private parts and thats all. i cannot believe that officers of the law who suppose to tell them to believe in courage, and family and stablilty would even talk that to them. what are they trying to encourage?

Some of trainees coming into the barracks are nasty men and why i said that is because there was a group of boys who only cursing in the dorms talking about women and everything explicit and who they did it with and so on. They also talking about weed and drugs and i cannot believe that these are the future men we suppose to put our trust on?

Some people have wives and children and sick family and entering the barracks you cannot even go to a funeral or wedding or even take an emergency leave. you have to resign to do that and sometimes if you do bad in a test the whole group suffers and their only hope of seeing their family after weeks are lost .

I just letting people see how it is for these officers and why some are what they are today! the kind of mentality they had to face and conditions. i think that some things need to change there and more trainees need to be interrogated more because some only joinning to not be arrested and caught doing dirty work

Hmmm and this is supposed to be the healthy alternative to life o the streets huh, it's like some people say sometimes the only difference is the badge.

No wonder most of them come out with alot of aggression and have total disrespect to women. We are still living in the slave man days hmmm

being in confinement is ah form of discipline an allowing d trainees time to study...yes its a cow shed syndrome but its hard core an will make officers have self control on all d morans outside here!!! six months is not dat long to b prepared to covert from a youth to ah man just be focus on wat u want in life an go for it
